BEIJING – China is now aiming for so-called new energy vehicles to account for 45% of all new car sales by 2027, setting an even more ambitious target as electric models take over the market faster than expected.
The new figure appears in a list of environmental targets published by the government and the ruling Communist Party on Thursday.
